Fun In The Sun Robotics Education & Competition Foundation Signature Event (Jan 2nd - 4th 2026)
The January 2–4, 2026 event at the Hyatt Regency Orlando marked our largest and most impactful competition to date, welcoming over 1,000 attendees and 140 teams. Building on the success of our 2024 event—which hosted 86 teams from four countries (United States, Canada, Malaysia, and Kyrgyzstan), 10 U.S. states, and over 800 attendees—this year’s growth highlights the increasing global reach and influence of our program.
As a premier VEX IQ signature event, teams competed for the opportunity to qualify for the VEX Robotics World Championship—an incredible achievement and a dream for these young innovators. Beyond competition, the event continues to inspire and empower the next generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders.
This event also serves as our largest annual fundraiser, helping sustain and expand opportunities for students in robotics and STEM education.
Fun In The Sun Robotics Education & Competition Foundation Signature Event (Dec 16th - 18th 2024)
The 2024 competition was phenomenal, with 86 teams from 4 countries (United States, Canada, Malaysia, and Kyrgyzstan), 10 U.S. states, and over 800 attendees! As a signature VEX IQ event, these teams are competing for a chance to qualify for Worlds—a big deal in the robotics community and a dream for these young innovators.
Let’s continue to inspire and empower the next generation of thinkers, creators, and leaders. These kids truly are the future.
Currently, this event acts as our largest annual fundraiser.
